I have heard very few good things about the 3 OB/GYNs in Rock Springs, WY. They all work out of the same office and they all subscribe to the same book that says women are incapable of giving birth without them right in the middle of things. I guess I am asking, how far is to far to travel for a Dr. and are there any other options anyone knows about in SW Wyoming? Asked by Rebecca - Tue Jun 3 19:54:37 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. how far are you from another state? i considered driving to another state to have my baby at a birth center with a midwife (2 1/2 hours) but i found a local doctor who is supportive of the bradley method. do some searching on the internet and see how far the closest midwife is. many times you can see a doctor thruout pregnancy and just go to the midwife towards the end of the pregnancy if that is one of the better options for you. i'm sorry that you are having such trouble, i know how you feel because there is only one doctor around here that feels that natural childbirth is normal and okay for women to do.
